Disney World 3- Magic Kingdom

I will warn you that this post is a long one. However, if you are at Disney World with two 5 year old girls, then Magic Kingdom is what you are going to see. We got up bright and early our second day and headed (along with most of our resort) to Magic Kingdom

Here we are on Main Street

Catching our first glimpse of Cinderella's castle

"We are finally here!"

The sun was in our eyes here

Mommy and the girls

Adding Gigi to the mix

We had our second character meal scheduled that morning at the Crystal Palace with Pooh and friends. We are not huge fans of Pooh but this breakfast was supposed to be wonderful, and it was! This was probably my favorite meal of the week. I LOVE breakfast food and this was a buffet of all the good stuff.

Here is Gigi getting a hug from Tigger

Bennett is too young it appears to be afraid of characters. Probably 3-4 more months and we would have been in trouble. He was actually very interested in all these fluffy, bright things moving around.

Now he really got into it.

Here is Piglet signing our books

And posing for a picture

Just had his breakfast and seems happy for the moment!

Tigger stopped by again to sign our books

And pose for pictures

Andy was the first up from the table to get food and he managed all with grabby Mr B going for his eggs!

He eventually got a handful of eggs and is getting his hands cleaned!

Joiner and Bennett cuddling

Sweet sibs!

Pooh stopped by to sign the books and Bennett needed his Pooh blanket to show him.

Now we are all posing with Andy a little uncomfortable holding Mr. B and his Pooh blanket

Eeyore is my favorite character and he has always reminded me of Dad with his "Ho-Hum" attitude. I knew I wanted to get a picture of the two of them. Here he is signing the books. I do not know how they sign legibly with those big costumes.

Happily Eeyore decided that Grumpa needed an extra hug!

After Breakfast we headed out to walk off all that yummy food. The girls spotted the tea cup ride and made a beeline. Any ad for Disney has people on the Tea Cups and they wanted to try it. It is one of my favorites, so I was up for it and made Andy go to. Mom rode the Tea Cups at Tweetsie Railroad when I was little and spent the rest of the trip laying on a bench so she wasn't allowed ( and she didn't want to go) so she, Grumpa, and Bennett watched. The line wasn't too bad and we were in our cup in about 10 minutes.

Couple shot

A great shot of us in our tea cup! So much fun. We rode this twice on the trip.

While we were riding, Mr B found out that he could take off his socks and was loving it!

Later that afternoon we headed over to ride the Aladdin Magic Carpet ride. Joiner in the line with Gigi who was very brave!

Carly in line with Daddy

In their carpets

Up in the air!

Again with the feet!

We also rode It's a Small World, Pirates of the Caribbean, and others before we got a snack and headed back to the resort for a nap. It doesn't look like Carly needed it, but everyone crashed as soon as they laid down. I am not much of a napper, but I enjoyed walking around the grounds.

After a good rest, we headed back to Magic Kingdom to eat dinner and see the fireworks. This was one of the most anticipated things for the girls.

As soon as we came in the gates we saw this pretty sight

The Dumbo ride was really busy that morning, so we went straight there at night and it was much less. Grumpa and I were the riders this time. Here are the girls in line.

Here are Joiner and I in our Dumbo

After that we headed to get some dinner and wait for the show. In the diner there was hula hooping, so Gigi, Carly, and Joiner all joined in.

Both my guys enjoying some food!

We were sitting on a balcony right by the castle to see the fireworks. My experience with fireworks at Magic Kingdom was on the 4th of July when I was 11. It was awful. The fireworks were on top of us and there were so many people that we got separated from each other. It really shaped how I view fireworks. So, having said that, I was not really into being on the ground of an albeit less crowded Main street.

The event finally started, and who came out of the castle....Tinkerbell. We were all screaming. We were so close to her. Look close and you will see her "flying"in the picture.

Our location wasn't perfect; there were sections that we couldn't see, but it was pretty nice overall. Andy of course thinks it looks like the castle is being attacked.

Getting a better look

On our way out of the park, Andy turned the camera on Twilight and caught a neat image of Main Street all lit up.

Grumpa with Carly

Gigi, Momm, Bennett, and Joiner who would jump in the stroller at any available moment!

It was a full day, but wonderful, and we headed back the next day!
