Hanging with our boys

These are a couple cute pics with the men in our lives.

In the hammock with Daddy
Andy hangs out in his hammock to read when it isn't too hot. As soon as the girls wake up hey want to go in snack in the hammock.
Bathtime with Daddy
The girls love you to get in the tub with them. Daddy only does so in his bathing suit, but they still think it is fun. They basically dump water on him the whole time.
(I decided at the last minute that I didn't want a naked bun picture. You can imagine them in the tub with Andy in his bathing suit and all 3 laughing!)

Snugglin' with Daddy
Andy's favorite pastime is to sleep and if you get near him, his next favorite activity of snuggling is all you can do. Luckily both girls are big snugglers.
Washing the car with Caga
My brother, Jarrett, detailed my car for a birthday present and the girls had to help. They washed their little red cars first and then they helped his wax my van. Such big helpers.

Apple Course

A few months ago, Andy came up with Obstacle Course. It started out in the house with the girls racing through the house running and jumping over shoes and ottomans. C & J call it Apple Course and now that it is warm, or suffocatingly hot, we have moved it outside. Here was our course on a recent night. We have to be fresh with our obstacles or they will call us out.

And their off...down the driveway; watch out Belle!

Dan Nicholas Park

We went to Dan Nicholas Park in Salisbury this week. It is a wonderful park with a train, carousel, petting barn, and water area. Everyone had a great time and the weather was surprisingly nice. We unsurprisingly fell down and had some boo boos, but we recovered.

Carly on a giant sea monster; this was the only animal on the carousel that didn't move.

We always knew they were a bunch of wild animals.

Cool Car

After the Natural Science Center, we went to lunch. When we came out, we were parked next to the coolest car. This post is primarily for my father-in-law, Tom, to see this car. Now that I have my cool little camera, I could whip it out and capture the moment for him to enjoy. However, the car was meticulous inside and out. And my dad can appreciate the fact that the keys were in the ignition:)

Natural Science Center with Gigi

We met mom in Greensboro last week to go to the Natural Science Center. We had a great morning playing with the animals and playing with the exhibits.

This beautiful peacock was walking around and stalking food from any child who was unlucky enough to be enjoying a snack. We saw him snatch a goldfish cracker from a baby in a stroller without hurting the baby. The girls thought he was fascinating until they saw the theft. They decided to leave him alone after that.

They have these brushes so you can groom the goats and sheep. The girls could have done this for hours and the goat really seemed to enjoy it!

Sci Works

We joined Sci Works a couple of weeks ago. They have different science exhibits and an outdoors park with animals. Both girls enjoy it, but they want to spend most of the time in the very tiny grocery area. I think we are going to have to join the Children's museum again as this is their favorite part.

Not sure if we are happy or not with this!

The girls are trying to use their "power" to turn on the light. They could do it, but I could never take a picture with the light on.

Our Bounty

We have a very modest garden this year, but it is so much fun. The girls and I get out there and water and weed. Last night we found so many veggies on the verge of ripening. I was watering before a meeting and I yelled into the kitchen that we had a big squash. Both girls came thundering down the hall to see it. It has been so exciting. Besides what is pictured, we have red bell peppers, basil, thyme, and crowder beans. The girls and I leave for Atlanta on the 13th and I am afraid we will be gone at peak harvest. Andy will be picking every night!

Little cherry tomatoes. The girls think this is their plant because the tomatoes will be little like them. Andy will be very disappointed if they eat them all!

Baby romas; just mouth-watering

This zuchini is almost ready to pick. I like them slim and not too seedy.

A baby cucumber. I eat about a cuke a day, so I can't wait! The girls also think cutting cucumbers is a "girl" job, so they will be a lot of help.

Our green beans. They look so yummy!

After I took pictures of the garden, the girls wanted to take a picture with my new camera. Joiner taking a picture of Belle
