Flower Girls

The big wedding was almost two weeks ago. It was a really fun weekend with a few bumps. The rehearsal dinner was so nice and a great time to see people we hadn't seen in a while. Both Jarrett and Miriam looked wonderful. Then poor Miriam got really sick on Saturday. She is a trooper and got through the ceremony and it looked like she managed to have fun at the reception. It was fun to see even more people at the reception and it was a really good time. All their hard work and planning paid off and it was a beautiful night. Miriam looked gorgeous despite feeling crummy.

Here are our beautiful flower girls with fellow flower girl Kaitlyn, Miriam's niece. Our friend Carla made these beautiful dresses. They looked like angels. A friend of Miriam's was going to "do"the girls' hair and I had no idea what you could do with a 4 year-olds hair. Wow.The updos from the back. Again, wow!

On to the reception. Margaret is holding Bennett and the girls are eating of course!

Joiner with her cake. Best part of the evening for her.

The beautiful couple before they cut the cake.

Now it was time for dancing. Our girls are so different. Joiner wanted to dance with only adults, like Daddy and Grumpa. Here she is with Daddy, who looked super handsome in his new suit!!

Carly, on the other hand, was in a huge mosh pit the whole night with her 2nd cousins.

Joiner with Grumpa, who was only happy to oblige!

Here are Tom and I dancing. (He probably regretted this later as I felt terrible and got home with a 102 degree fever. I am still not back to my old self. I think he is still well, though)

Watching the bouquet and garter toss.

This is how we all felt by the end of the night. All of us except Carly. She was dancing and running around till the end. Bennett went home with Mary and Tom about 9 and we all got home about 10:30. Joiner was pooped!
I had such high hopes for a wonderful family portrait in all our finery. Unfortunately, it all went too fast. It might not be a bad thing since I was so swollen and sick. But I still would like the memory.
Congrats to the new Mr and Mrs. Dineen!
