Eden Shower

The big RSA brunch is done (yeah) and so I have a little more time to blog. I am still trying to get work settled, but I am able to get the house together a little more. I was so scared I was so tired and stressed on Saturday that I would have the baby and the house would be a wreck. Thankfully, I didn't and mom and the girls and I got the room together and slowly I am putting the house back together!

So last weekend, Mom and Dad's church had a really nice shower for Carly, Joiner, and I. We all went over on Saturday morning. Jarrett, Andy, and Dad played golf while Mom and the girls and I headed to church. They had decorated it so preciously.

This shower was really a big sister shower. Carly and Joiner really wanted to go to a baby shower and thankfully mom's church graciously wanted to host something. Once they heard that there would be a shower, they asked if they could wear what they wanted. I said sure. That turned out to be princess dresses and slippers. They have never been allowed to wear princess slippers out of the house, so this alone was a big event. Carly went back to her ballet flats after a while. Joiner was committed and wore hers home to Gigi's house!

Nothing beats cake and punch at 10am!
Can you see all Joiner's jewelry?

Then the fun began of opening presents. We had asked for the basic things that you need with each baby. We got lots of neutral onesies, pacis, towels, washcloths, wipes, etc. I am going to be using cloth diapers, so we had really asked for no diapers. Several people gave to our diaper fund, however. My bathtub was shot from two babies, so my Godmother gave us a new one. We also got a wipe warmer which will really help with the cloth wipes.

Here is Mommy, Mistletoe, and Carly opening gifts. We played the candy poop in the diaper game. I wasn't elgible to win, but I was the only one who got them all right. I know my mushed candy!

Each gift was so exciting to the girls. They would walk around and thank the person and give them a hug. Most people also gave them each a book or crayons. It was so generous.

The women who hosted the shower gave them each a big sister shirt. They were so excited!

More cake!
More punch! This was like the best day ever for them:)

Mom's birthday was the next day so we celebrated that night. Jarrett, Andy, and I had to leave that night because we all had to work. The girls stayed and went to church and one night of VBS to celebrate with Gigi. Here is Gigi with her coconut cream pie.

The girls made Gigi a bear at Build-A-Bear with their voices that said "Happy Birthday" and "We love you" I wonder how long it will take her until she runs the battery out?

My Youth group was leaving for their Mission trip on Sunday. I wasn't able to stay with them as you can see I am enormous and would be no help. I drove them up to the Boone area to get them settled in. They told the people there that I was on my way to fat camp or they complained that they couldn't see the mountain as I was blocking it! Then as I was leaving, I was hugging them all goodbye and they were saying they wished that I was staying. After all the abuse, I told them that I thought it was good we had some space! Here they are at the Dining Hall with Beth, the fearless adult who was staying the first part of the week with them. As an update, they got home this past Saturday and they were all transformed. They had such an amazing time. I am glad to hear it!
