I'm Dreaming of A White Christmas

The snow started Christmas Day around 11am and went all day. By Sunday morning we had 6.5 inches of beautiful snow. Unfortunately Mamie and Pops and Caga and Miriam all had to travel in it, but it sure was fun if you could stay put!

A man on our street has a Bobcat (I know, really?) and he plowed our road! It was really nice and the girls had a great time watching him.

Christmas Program

Carly and Joiner's school had their Christmas program a few weeks ago. We got all dressed up and tried to get a picture by the tree with all three. Trying to take a picture of 3 kids is almost impossible! Here was the best of all.

Gigi and Grumpa drove over to come see the performance and Grumpa promptly stole Bennett.

Getting ready for the girls to come out

Carly is on the front row and Joiner is right behind her on the first riser. My camera doesn't have the best zoom, so this is the best I could get. Carly was VERY animated and was dancing the whole time. Joiner wasn't able to move as much, but she was dancing as well.

"Has anybody seen Santa?"

It was a really sweet performance and both girls did great!

Surgeons

The other day the girls were playing surgery. They were using a nail file to operate on their baby's body and head. Joiner has had out-patient surgery when she was almost 3 and she remembers this Superman mask for the gas and the glasses that the doctors wore.
Here is the operation

Christmas Trees and Snow

We got our Christmas tree while Andy was in San Antonio a few weeks ago. Our good friends, Mr Ken and Mrs Laura, own a farm where you can go pick and cut your own tree. It is only about 10 minutes out of town. They opened early for us to fit it around nap time. You can see that the girls favorite thing is to run around the trees.

Taking a quick break to pull up our pants.

A quick photo of Bennett and mommy. This was his first time in the baby carrier and he loved it!

More running

Mrs. Laura raises sheep for their wool, to show, and to eat. We buy a lamb each year. It was so cold the day we were out, but the sheep were wandering around.

As we walked to the other tree area, the sheep follwed us. The girls thought this was hilarious.

More running, again!

Family shots. Bennett was not happy with this.

Mr Ken was nice enough to take one of all of us.

The next day we got our first snow of the year. Gigi had just pulled in to hang out with us when the flakes really started coming. Here is Bennett watching the action from the warm living room.
