Catching Up

"I am back, with a brand new addition!"

The first and only time I will quote Vanilla Ice on this blog:)

I found my camera in the mess that my car had become. I wonder if the craziness other people feel starts to manifest itself in their surroundings. I try to keep the house and car really clean. I mean, we have toys and things out, but generally by the end of the day, things are put away. Well, the crazier I feel, the more things are out. It is REALLY out of control when the car is a mess. I will get in one day and want to scream. Church papers, school papers, trash, recceipts, etc are all over. Once I can take a minute and get it out, all is better.

Anyhoo, here is a blurry picture of Mr B at Kindermusik. You can see it was still warm. It is the only one I have, so we will have to take it. I will do better! He loves music. He loves to dance, to play with other kids, and he especially loves Mrs. Belinda, the teacher.

Bennett reading with Gigi. He still loves to read more than anythings else. For a kid who can circle our house in 1.5 seconds, he loves to slow down for a good book!

Such a doll!

Although this is an incredibly unflattering picture of me in my nursing tank and shorts, this is another favorite activity. Bennett loves to vacumm. He will bang on the hall closet to get it out. Then he runs to get his little one and off we go:)

Carly in her school uniform and B in a band

I think she is telling him that we need more cow bell:)

Such a stinker!

Sweet girl. I miss you!

Last shot of all the teeth! I will update this soon!

Joiner being the ham that she is! I miss you too!

Silly girls

The dogs must sit before they are released to eat. Bennett likes to join them! When they are told "ok" he will clap with me and then go pat and hug them while they eat.

Bennett has discovered the children's museum. He still takes a morning nap, so we head over about 11:15. It is really quiet then and so we have the place to ourselves. Running to something

Climbing

His favorite is the Trip Trap bridge. He will go up and down as many times as you let him.

Looking out the plexiglass window

"Come on, mom!"

Playing with the chimes at the top.

Back up or down. I make him go down backwards.

More chimes!

Riding the horse

Playing with the switch in the donut truck

Now driving!

Trying to put something in the row boat.

It is hard to see, but he is saying "hi" to the giant cow on the other side. He loves this thing!

Ardmore 5K

Mamie and Pops came on Thursday to spend the weekend with us. I think Bennett has taken my camera and hid it, so I have no pictures of the weekend except what I got from their camera and, unfortunately, they are in many. I am on the lookout for my camera!

It was a beautiful weekend. Cool, but not cold, and clear. We started Saturday with the Ardmore 5K. I have run this race several times, but this was the girls' first time. They have been running with me, and they were very excited. The fun run was before the 5K, so the girls and I walked over to Leah's church, the host of the run. Mamie, Pops, Andy, and B came to watch us start.

Here is Bennett is his warm monster suit. It fit right over his PJs!

The race has started.

The Chick-fil-A cow was starting the race. As soon as he started running, Joiner took off and she wasn't with me again! I kept expecting her to slow and come back with Carly and I, but she went full throttle the whole time! Here are Carly and I at the beginning.

Andy pinning on his race number.

Bennett watching the runners. Mamie said that he was waving and clapping.

The crowd at the Finish Line was expecting all 3 of us to finish together. So they almost missed Joiner when she came sprinting in at 7:05 all alone! It was amazing! The girl is a natural!

Carly and I finished about 7:35. Carly never stopped running, but she needed some motivation. She was a natural as well! I mean; 5, and a 7 minute mile! No way!

Joiner showing her participant ribbon.

Carly with her ribbon. I think she was mad that her string was loose.

I had just enough time to go to the bathroom and get in line with the 5K. Dad asked if Andy and I ran together and I had to say that he didn't even get in the pack with me. He went to the front with the other sprinters! And the race is off!

If you look hard you can see me waving. This is the advantage of red hair!

Andy finishing at 21:40. He was 3rd in his age group! Great job, and no pregnant women beat him;)

The running crew. I finished at 25:45. Not my best, but not my worst. It was really perfect running weather!

Cool Pops with Bennett

We released Bennett from his stroller and let him play on the playground for a few minutes before we walked home to let him take a nap.

Wheeeeeee!

He is such a climber!

And now the stairs!

It was a fun weekend with Mamie and Pops. I wish I had more pictures, but we can work on that at Thanksgiving!
